The Heart Behind Ember & Grace
More than beautiful hair. A place to feel cared for.

My approach is simple
-
Listen first.
-
Create a thoughtful plan.
-
Protect the health of your hair.
-
Create color that feels like you.
I specialize in beautiful blonding, seamless gray coverage and blending, and dimensional color for women who want natural-looking results that feel polished, effortless, and easy to maintain.
I believe in honest recommendations, thoughtful consultations, and creating hair with intention. I’m not here to chase trends—I’m here to help you discover what works best for you.

Welcome Friend, I’m Rose
For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping women feel confident through their hair. But over the years, I’ve learned something important:
It’s never just about the hair.
It’s about the woman sitting in my chair.
It’s about feeling listened to. Feeling understood. Having someone take the time to create a plan that fits your life—not just a look that’s beautiful for the moment.
That is the heart behind Ember & Grace.
I created this space for women who want more than a rushed appointment. A place where you can slow down, take a breath, and enjoy a calm, personal experience where you feel truly cared for.
Before we begin, we talk.
We talk about your hair history, what you love, what you’d like to change, your lifestyle, and what feels realistic for you. My goal is to create hair that not only looks beautiful when you leave, but continues to work beautifully for you every day.
Because your hair should support your life—not complicate it.

Ember & Grace is also rooted in my faith.
Not in a way that feels forced or overwhelming, but in the way I choose to care for others—with kindness, patience, grace, and integrity. My faith influences the way I serve, the way I listen, and the experience I hope every woman has when she walks through my door.
My journey has brought me through many places. I was born in Bosnia, moved to Germany in 1994, and eventually made Grand Rapids my home in 2001. Becoming a U.S. citizen in 2011 was one of the proudest moments of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to build a career I love and serve the community that has become home.
When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll usually find me enjoying the simple things—time with my husband, our dogs, and our tabby cat, painting with watercolors, getting lost in a good mystery or personal growth book, or enjoying a quiet cup of black coffee.
If you’re looking for more than just someone to do your hair—if you’re looking for a stylist who will listen, guide you honestly, and create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself—I would be honored to welcome you into my chair.
Thank you for being here.
I can’t wait to meet you.
